India Conveys Zero Tolerance for Terror in Japan Amid Counterterrorism Talks

An Indian All-Party Parliamentary delegation led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha visited Japan to discuss counterterrorism cooperation following the Pahalgam terror attack, emphasizing India's zero tolerance for terrorism and seeking Japan's support in the global fight against terror. During the visit, they met Japan's Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, who expressed condolences for the attack victims, condemned terrorism, and affirmed Japan's solidarity with India's counterterrorism efforts. Concurrently, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held talks with senior Japanese officials, including Senior Deputy Foreign Minister Hiroyuki Namazu and Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Takehiro Funakoshi, to strengthen the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership and reiterate India's zero tolerance stance on terrorism. The discussions aligned with India's broader diplomatic outreach following Operation Sindoor, a precise military response to the Pahalgam attack targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which highlighted India's shift to a proactive counterterrorism doctrine and drew international attention for its surgical accuracy and minimal collateral damage.
