Two Teens Charged with Attempted Homicide in Multiple Chambersburg Shootings
In Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, two 17-year-old teenagers, Nyshawn Spriggs-Spoonhour and Blaze Dickson, have been charged with multiple felonies including two counts of attempted homicide and aggravated assault related to a shooting incident on April 20. The victims, two teenage brothers, were confronted by the suspects while walking near West Catherine Street and Birch Street, where the suspects fired shots as the victims tried to flee. Spriggs-Spoonhour and Dickson allegedly posted on social media referencing the shooting, with one post stating, “I really bang my pole to kill – Almost caught me one.” Both suspects have been denied bail due to concerns for the safety of the victims and community, and they are being charged as adults despite being minors. Surveillance footage and witness reports corroborate the victims’ accounts, noting that shots were fired toward Loudon Street, a busy area. This shooting is part of a recent increase in gun violence in Chambersburg, with other shootings and arrests occurring in the same neighborhood in recent months.
