Guy Gaudreau, the father of the late Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, joined the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp as a guest coach at the invitation of head coach John Tortorella. Gaudreau, a long-time youth hockey coach in New Jersey, was initially hesitant but found the experience therapeutic. Tortorella, who attended the Gaudreau brothers’ funeral, said he hopes Gaudreau will continue to participate in future practices. The Flyers players showed their support by shaking Gaudreau's hand and tapping their sticks. Tortorella and the team hope to provide some healing for Gaudreau and his family through this engagement.
