Carnival Corporation Expands Meal Donation Program to Latin America

Carnival Corporation, the world's largest cruise company, has expanded its fresh meal donation program into Latin America for the first time by signing memoranda of understanding with food banks and community partners in Mexico, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. This initiative, part of Carnival's Less Left Over strategy to reduce food waste, redirects surplus prepared meals from ships to local organizations to help combat food insecurity. The program, which began in 2017 and now operates in 19 destinations worldwide, has donated over 300,000 meals to date. Additionally, Carnival Cruise Line has introduced and is expanding its Family Express lunch menu across its fleet, designed to offer quick, family-friendly meal options that cater to both children and adults seeking convenience during busy days at sea. The new lunch menus have been well-received, with guests appreciating the streamlined service and variety, though some have requested gluten-free options and an extension of the menu into dinner hours. Together, these initiatives reflect Carnival's commitment to community support and enhancing guest experience aboard their ships.
