Air India Faces Two Emergencies in 24 Hours

An Air India flight (AI-379) from Phuket to New Delhi made an emergency landing back in Phuket on June 13, 2025, after a mid-flight bomb threat. All 156 passengers were safely evacuated, and security searches of the aircraft and baggage found no explosives. Authorities continue to investigate, with one passenger being interrogated over a discovered bomb note. The incident came less than 24 hours after a separate Air India disaster, when flight AI-171 from Ahmedabad to London crashed, killing nearly all 241 passengers and several people on the ground.
