Tennessee Warns of Tren de Aragua Gang Activity

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a warning about the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA), which is reportedly involved in human trafficking, organized retail crime, and drug trafficking across Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. TBI Director David Rausch emphasized that the gang operates with little regard for law enforcement, posing a significant threat to public safety. The gang has been linked to violent confrontations with law enforcement and is allegedly expanding its operations in the state after previous disruptions. TBI is currently working to gather intelligence and urges the public to report any signs of human trafficking. The Biden Administration has responded to the situation by offering a $12 million reward for the gang’s leaders. State officials, including Representative Mark Green, have expressed outrage at the gang's blatant activities within Tennessee, reinforcing the need for increased awareness and vigilance.
