Woman Arrested for Child Snatching Attempt at Miami Airport

Alvina Agba, a 23-year-old woman from England, was arrested at Miami International Airport after she allegedly took a 4-year-old boy from his mother and refused to return him. Agba approached the mother, who allowed her to hold the crying child, but Agba then walked away with the boy and claimed, "No, this is my child." When the mother tried to retrieve her son, Agba wrapped her arms and legs around him and pushed the mother away, leading to a physical struggle. A witness intervened to protect the child by taking him behind a counter, while Agba attempted to grab the boy again but was blocked by bystanders. Agba fled the scene but was later apprehended by deputies and charged with interference with custody and battery. During questioning, Agba said she was trying to soothe the child, believed a rainbow wall might calm him, and claimed she acted because God told her to do so.
