Fathom Events Reports Record Revenue Growth

Fathom Events is set to achieve record-breaking gross revenues exceeding $145 million in 2024, a 45% increase from the previous year's $100 million. The company, co-owned by AMC, Cinemark, and Regal Cinemas, will rebrand as Fathom Entertainment in January 2025 to reflect its evolution in the changing media landscape. CEO Ray Nutt attributed the success to a growing appetite for specialty content and special engagements, notably the re-release of 'Coraline,' which grossed over $34 million. Fathom's strategy has shifted to focus on longer release windows, helping to attract diverse audiences in a post-COVID environment. The company aims to build on its success by exploring new content opportunities while continuing to provide unique experiences to moviegoers. This marks a significant milestone in Fathom's 20-year history as a distributor of theatrical content.
