Wout van Aert Signs Indefinite Deal with Visma

Belgian cyclist Wout van Aert has committed to staying with Team Visma Lease a Bike for the rest of his career in a unique agreement. The 30-year-old, who joined the team in 2019, has won nine Tour de France stages and several prestigious one-day races. Van Aert expressed his strong connection with the team, citing the excellent resources and mutual development as key reasons for his decision. Despite suffering significant injuries in crashes this year, he managed to win three stages at the Vuelta a España and a bronze in the Olympic time trial. Team CEO Richard Plugge praised Van Aert for his leadership and integral role in the team's culture. The team's primary goal for 2025 is to reclaim the Tour de France title.
