The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) has launched a new office in Taipei, Taiwan, to foster trade and investment in the semiconductor industry. Led by Secretary David Rosenberg, a delegation will participate in SEMICON Taiwan from September 4-6, where Indiana aims to showcase its growing semiconductor ecosystem. This initiative follows the state's strategy to enhance its position in the semiconductor sector, which has already seen success with seven new companies attracted since 2022. The IEDC's new office, which opened on August 1, will focus on partnerships in advanced manufacturing, AI, and other high-tech fields. Indiana's trade with Taiwan reached $1.61 billion last year, highlighting the state's commitment to building robust supply chains. Stewart Randall has been appointed as the Taiwan advisor to assist in further developing these economic ties.
