Megan Campbell, an Irish international and defender for London City Lionesses, has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest throw-in by a female footballer, achieving a distance of 37.55 meters. This throw surpassed the previous record of 35 meters and was measured during a challenge at her club’s training ground in Kent, where she threw the ball beyond a mannequin placed at the 35-meter mark. Campbell, aged 31, developed her long throw-in ability from a young age and has used it as a potent weapon throughout her career, including stints with Manchester City, Liverpool, and Everton. She expressed pride in being the first woman to hold this record but hopes others will surpass her in the future.
