WME’s Kirk Sommer To Receive MUSEXPO International Music Person of Year Award

Kirk Sommer, senior partner and global co-head of music at WME, will be honored with the International Music Person of the Year award at the 26th MUSEXPO conference in Burbank, California, scheduled for March 22-25, 2026. The award ceremony will take place during a VIP Awards Gala Luncheon on March 24, where officials from California and Los Angeles will also present official proclamations recognizing Sommer's impact on music, culture, and the business of artistry. Sommer's nearly 25-year career at WME began in the mailroom in 2000 and has involved guiding the careers of iconic artists such as Adele, Amy Winehouse, Arctic Monkeys, Billie Eilish, The Killers, Sam Smith, and many others. MUSEXPO will also feature a keynote conversation with Sommer, highlighting his professional journey and leadership in the evolving music industry. Recognized for his integrity, mentorship, and artist-first approach, Sommer was named Pollstar's Agent of the Year in 2025 and has been consistently featured on Billboard's Power Lists. The event will bring together global music executives, artists, and innovators to celebrate Sommer's contributions and discuss the future of music, media, and technology.
