Jens Stoltenberg, the outgoing NATO Secretary General, is set to become the chairman of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) following its next meeting in February 2025. He will replace Christoph Heusgen, who has held the position since 2022, while Wolfgang Ischinger will continue as president of the MSC Foundation Council. Stoltenberg has led NATO since 2014 and will be succeeded by former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on October 1.
