Apple Plans Larger iPhone 19 Air Display by 2027

Apple is reportedly developing a new, slimmer 'iPhone Air' line, with the first model expected to debut this fall, followed by annual updates. Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and other sources suggest that while the 2025 iPhone Air was initially planned with a 6.9-inch screen, concerns over device bending led Apple to scale it back to 6.6 inches, with a return to a larger display anticipated for the iPhone 19 Air in 2027. The 'Air' model is positioned as a thinner alternative to the Pro line and may eventually feature a noticeably larger screen to match the Pro Max, further differentiating Apple's offerings. Apple is also said to be working on its second foldable iPhone and shifting its launch strategy: premium models will launch in the fall, while standard and budget variants will follow in the spring. This staggered release is designed to better compete in markets like China and avoid overshadowing base models.
