Police search King's Lynn allotment in Maris Ile murder case
Norfolk Police are conducting a search of an allotment in King's Lynn as part of the investigation into the disappearance of 54-year-old Maris Ile, who was reported missing on November 23, 2024. The case has been classified as a 'no body' murder investigation, indicating that authorities believe Maris has come to harm. Four men and a woman, arrested on suspicion of his murder, have been released on bail until June 11, 2025. Detective Superintendent Phill Gray assured the public of ongoing extensive searches and urged anyone with information, however minor, to come forward. Police have been active in searching numerous addresses and vehicles prior to focusing on the allotment site. An increased police presence is expected in North Lynn as the investigation continues.
