Mansfield's Horizons Academy for SEND Students Nears Completion

Construction on Horizons Academy, a new school for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Mansfield, has reached a significant milestone with the completion of the main structure and roof. The £30 million facility, operated by Diverse Academies Trust, is set to open in spring 2026 and will accommodate up to 160 pupils aged seven to 19. This project is part of Nottinghamshire County Council's initiative to create 490 additional SEND places by 2026 to meet rising demand.
