Heat Wave Persists in Central and Eastern U.S.

Central Texas and much of the Midwest are experiencing continued summer-like weather with temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s, driven by persistent high-pressure systems. In Central Texas, Tropical Storm Ileana's remnants are contributing to humidity, and while some isolated showers are expected in the afternoon, significant rainfall is unlikely.
