Pamela Anderson Launches TV Reboot of Cult Comic Barb Wire with Sons
Pamela Anderson, along with her sons Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee, has launched And-Her-Sons Productions to develop a new television series based on the comic book character Barb Wire, originally created by Chris Warner for Dark Horse Comics. The series, produced in collaboration with Universal Content Productions and Dark Horse Entertainment, will follow Barbara Kopetski, a bounty hunter operating in the dystopian city of Steel Harbor, and is intended to have a different tone from Anderson's 1996 film adaptation, in which she starred. Anderson and her son Brandon will serve as executive producers, but she will not reprise her role as Barb Wire, though she may appear in a different part. This project marks a significant spotlight for Dark Horse Comics, offering an opportunity for an independent comic character to gain recognition outside the dominance of Marvel and DC. The series development coincides with the upcoming release of The Barb Wire Compendium in February 2026, compiling major comic runs of the character. Fans and producers alike are optimistic about the fresh take on Barb Wire, which could align with the success of other mature, edgy comic adaptations on screen.
