Valentina Comes Out as Transgender Woman
Valentina Xunaxi, known for her roles on RuPaul's Drag Race season 9, All Stars 4, and as co-host of Drag Race México, publicly came out as a transgender woman on her 34th birthday, sharing that she had been privately transitioning. She expressed gratitude for the love and support received from fans, fellow Drag Race alumni, and show producers, including notable figures like Bianca Del Rio, Monét X Change, and Michelle Visage. Valentina previously identified as nonbinary in 2019, describing herself as a goddess and her own gender. Her announcement was made via a celebratory Instagram post, where she acknowledged both the pressure and her choice to share her identity on her own terms. Beyond Drag Race, Valentina has starred in Fox's live musical Rent and has become an increasingly prominent figure in LGBTQ+ representation. The response from the entertainment and drag communities has been overwhelmingly supportive.
