A source close to the Saudi government indicated that warnings were issued multiple times about Abdulmohsen, who has a history of making online threats and holding anti-Islamic views. Despite these warnings, German authorities reportedly found the information too vague to act upon when they received it last year. Abdulmohsen, a 50-year-old psychiatrist and former refugee, drove an SUV into a crowded market, prompting questions about potential security lapses in handling his case. The incident has raised concerns regarding immigration decisions and the adequacy of police responses to prior threats against him.
