India Counters Jaffar Express Attack Allegations at UN

India has strongly rejected accusations by Pakistan of being involved in the recent hijacking of the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan, calling the allegations baseless and urging Pakistan to address its own internal issues. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Parvathaneni Harish, countered Pakistani claims at the UN, asserting Jammu and Kashmir's integral status as part of India and criticizing Pakistan's history of cross-border terrorism. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack, which resulted in significant casualties. Pakistan's foreign office suggested the attackers were in contact with handlers in Afghanistan, while Afghanistan and India both denied involvement, with Afghanistan calling Pakistan's accusations unfounded. Amidst rising tensions, a pro-Khalistan group accused India’s intelligence agency RAW of orchestrating the attack, further complicating the geopolitical situation in the region.
