Latoya Hayes Charged in Fatal I-95 Crash

Latoya Hayes, 45, has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter, following a New Year's Day crash that killed Road Ranger Jose Parra Guadama in Hollywood, Florida. The accident occurred around 3:36 a.m. when Hayes, allegedly driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.168, collided with a Honda Accord before careening into Parra's vehicle and two Florida Highway Patrol cruisers. Parra, who was assisting with a previous accident, was pronounced dead at the scene, while two troopers sustained injuries. Family members of Parra expressed their grief and called for justice, emphasizing the tragic loss of a newlywed husband and a dedicated worker. Hayes is facing 20 charges related to the incident, including reckless driving causing injury and property damage. She is currently being held in custody, awaiting her first court appearance.
