Channel 4 Plans UK Premiere of 'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 6 on May 3, 2025

The Handmaid’s Tale has returned for its sixth and final season, continuing to follow June Osborne’s fight against the oppressive society of Gilead. In this concluding chapter, June’s determination intensifies as she seeks to dismantle Gilead, joined by allies Luke and Moira, while Serena attempts to reform the regime and other key characters grapple with the consequences of their actions. The season premiered in the US in April 2025 and will be available in the UK starting May 3, 2025, on both Channel 4 and Amazon Prime Video, with weekly episode releases. This final season not only wraps up the main story but also sets up the forthcoming sequel series, The Testaments, based on Margaret Atwood’s follow-up novel. The series continues to highlight themes of hope, courage, and resistance in the face of authoritarianism.
