Hallador Energy Names Todd Telesz CFO, Hargrave Steps Down
Hallador Energy Company announced that Chief Financial Officer Marjorie Hargrave is stepping down to pursue other opportunities after serving since April 2024. Todd Telesz, formerly CFO of Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association and CEO of Basin Electric, will succeed her as CFO effective June 23, 2025. Hargrave played a key role in reducing operating expenses and improving financial reporting efficiency during Hallador's transition from a coal producer to an independent power producer. Todd Telesz brings extensive experience from the power sector and is expected to support Hallador's efforts to expand generation acquisitions, particularly from energy cooperatives moving away from fossil fuels. CEO Brent Bilsland thanked Hargrave for her contributions and expressed confidence in Telesz's leadership to advance the company's strategic goals. Hallador maintains a stable financial position with $411 million in annual revenue and moderate debt while focusing on its Merom Generating Station and fuel supply operations.
