ElevenLabs secures $180M funding, triples valuation to $3.3B

AI voice technology startup ElevenLabs has raised $180 million in a Series C funding round, tripling its valuation to $3.3 billion within a year of achieving unicorn status. The funding was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Iconiq Growth, with additional support from several new and existing investors, bringing the company's total funding to $281 million since its founding in 2022. ElevenLabs, which specializes in generating expressive and customizable voice AI across multiple languages, plans to use the new capital to enhance its product offerings and expand its research capabilities. The company has already formed partnerships with major publishers and gaming studios, further solidifying its presence in the market. CEO Mati Staniszewski emphasized the goal of making digital interactions more natural and voice-centric. The startup's recent endeavors include expanding its product suite to include AI-powered dubbing and sound effects.
