Bezzecchi Secures Home MotoGP Pole at San Marino GP

Marco Bezzecchi secured pole position for the San Marino MotoGP at his home circuit, the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, marking Aprilia's second pole of the 2025 season. He achieved a fastest lap time of 1:30.134 seconds, aided by a slipstream from teammate Jorge Martin, edging out Alex Marquez who had held provisional pole and will start second on the grid. Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo completed the front row in third place after dominating Q1 and pushing hard in the final qualifying shootout. Championship leader Marc Marquez qualified fourth, closely followed by Franco Morbidelli and Luca Marini, while KTM's Pedro Acosta crashed during qualifying and will start ninth. Bezzecchi expressed satisfaction with his performance but emphasized the importance of maintaining focus for the two upcoming races, stressing that qualifying is only part of the challenge.
