Hong Kong Police Arrest Three in In-Flight Thefts

Earlier, two other suspects, aged 61 and 38, were arrested for stealing substantial amounts of cash from passengers' overhead luggage on separate flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, with thefts totaling over HK$4.32 million reported in the first ten months of 2024. Authorities are increasing efforts to combat this rising trend, which has alarmed travelers and the police alike. The recent thefts highlight a troubling pattern of in-flight crime that has already surpassed previous annual totals from peak tourism years.
