Originally, a custom wig was made to fit her perfectly after a fitting in Los Angeles, but when filming began in North Carolina, the wig's color and shape did not match what was initially planned. Showrunner Rebecca Cutter was displeased with the wig's appearance, which looked reminiscent of styles from Dallas or Dynasty. Due to time constraints, the production team used an alternative wig pulled from a box, which was not sized correctly but had the desired color and length. Later, a new wig was made but came in a different color, leading the creators to incorporate a scene where Margo gets her hair colored to address the discrepancy.
