Tacko Fall Joins New Zealand Breakers

Tacko Fall, the 7'6'' center, is set to join the New Zealand Breakers for the remainder of the 2024-25 NBL season, replacing Freddie Gillespie, who has been released to pursue opportunities with Italian club Olimpia Milano. Fall, who has been rehabilitating from a quad injury, has been training with the Breakers and is expected to enhance their lineup, as the team currently sits second in the standings with a 7-3 record. Previously, Fall played three seasons in the NBA with the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 37 games. He has expressed confidence in his ability to return to the NBA, stating he is a much better player now than in his previous stint. Fall has relocated his family to New Zealand, indicating his commitment to this new chapter in his career.
