Federal Fugitive Arrested in Kentucky, Drugs and Firearms Seized
In Whitley County, Kentucky, a multi-agency operation led to the arrest of federal fugitive Christopher Lee Jones, who was wanted for absconding federal parole supervision. Officers found Jones hiding in a crawl space beneath a home after he initially escaped through a hole in the floor. A subsequent search revealed a significant amount of methamphetamine, firearms, and drug paraphernalia, along with deplorable living conditions for three children living in the home. His girlfriend, Michaela Kay Sullivan, was also arrested on multiple charges, including child abuse and drug trafficking. The operation involved several law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service and the ATF. In a separate arrest, a fugitive named Jared Worden was apprehended in McCracken County, Kentucky, due to a speeding violation and an outstanding felony warrant from Oklahoma.
