Sivakarthikeyan's film 'Amaran', directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is achieving significant box-office success, grossing over Rs 250 crore worldwide in less than two weeks since its release on October 31, 2024. The film, which also stars Sai Pallavi, has been praised for its engaging narrative and strong performances, leading to high theatre occupancy. It collected Rs 164.45 crore domestically in 13 days, maintaining stable earnings despite competition. The Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitor's Association has requested a delay in the film's OTT release to eight weeks post-theatrical, though a decision is pending. As a biographical war film about Major Mukund Varadarajan, 'Amaran' remains popular and is expected to continue its success. It is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, with music by GV Prakash Kumar.
