Ukraine Plans Largest Wartime Government Reshuffle

The reshuffle also involves moving Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine's longest-serving prime minister, to the role of defense minister. This government reorganization coincides with President Trump announcing a new arms sales program to Ukraine, highlighting a renewed engagement between Kyiv and Washington. Additionally, Zelenskyy appointed Rustem Umerov as Ukraine's ambassador to Washington, further indicating efforts to enhance diplomatic ties with the U.S. The changes are perceived as an attempt to boost Ukraine's war effort and economic resilience while fostering stronger relations with the Trump administration.
