The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for 49-year-old Maurice Latorre, who is suspected of attempting to carjack three women on November 9 in the Lincoln Heights and Boyle Heights areas. Incidents occurred at gas stations and a parking lot, all captured on security footage, with Latorre approaching his victims during the day. In the first attempt, he forced his way into a woman's car at a gas station, while in the second, he smashed a window as a mother entered her vehicle with her children. The third incident involved Latorre pulling a woman from her car and assaulting her before fleeing on a silver bicycle. Police have warned the public that Latorre is considered violent and dangerous and have urged anyone with information to contact authorities. A photo of Latorre and video of the incidents have been released to aid in his capture.
