Glen Powell in 'The Running Man'

Glen Powell is set to star in a new adaptation of Stephen King's 'The Running Man,' with Katy O'Brian cast alongside him. Directed by Edgar Wright, the film aims to provide a more faithful adaptation of King's original 1982 novel, which follows a desperate man who enters a deadly reality show to earn money for his sick daughter. The film is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025, and will feature O'Brian as one of the contestants on the show. This project marks a reunion for Powell and O'Brian, who previously worked together in 'Twisters.' O'Brian is also featured in 'Mission: Impossible 8' and gained recognition for her role in 'Love Lies Bleeding.' The film's production team includes Wright, Michael Bacall, and Simon Kinberg.
