Primark Opens Fourth New Jersey Store in Jersey City

Primark is set to open its fourth New Jersey store at Newport Centre in Jersey City on August 14, 2025, continuing its expansion in the northeastern U.S. The new store will occupy approximately 35,700 square feet on the second floor of the former Sears space and offer a broad range of affordable fashion, homeware, and beauty products. To celebrate the opening weekend, Primark will host events including live music, giveaways, and appearances by popular characters Bluey and Bingo, whose themed collection will also be available at the store. Primark aims to grow its U.S. presence to 60 stores by 2026, with plans to open in Manhattan the same year, and currently employs over 80,000 associates globally across 450 stores. The company is actively recruiting for full- and part-time retail positions with starting wages of $15 per hour, including scheduled pay increases. Since entering the U.S. market in 2015, Primark has experienced significant growth, reporting a 17% sales increase in the U.S. during the first half of fiscal year 2025.
