Oklahoma State Softball Adds Long Beach Transfer Selena Perez
Oklahoma State softball has strengthened its roster by signing Selena Perez, a transfer from Long Beach State who has been the primary shortstop for three seasons. Perez, who holds a career batting average of .166 with 24 runs scored and 28 RBIs, brings valuable experience to the left side of the infield and fills a defensive gap left by departing players. She joins other transfers Jayden Jones, Melina Wilkison, and Kaya Booker, all Division I athletes, as part of the Cowgirls' transfer class for the upcoming season. Originally from Chandler, Arizona, Perez was a standout at Vista Grande High School, earning multiple first team all-conference honors and setting a school home run record. Coach Kenny Gajewski expressed enthusiasm about the competitive dynamic Perez will bring to the team. Perez herself conveyed excitement about joining Oklahoma State and contributing to the team's winning culture and history.
