Murfreesboro K9 Rescues Dog from Tree

In a heartwarming incident amid the destruction of Hurricane Helene in East Tennessee, K9 Kari of the Murfreesboro Police Department rescued a dog stranded atop a 20-foot tree. On October 2, while assisting the Kingsport Fire Department in search efforts for flood casualties, Kari began barking and led the team to the tree where the dog was perched on debris. Firefighters retrieved a ladder that had been displaced by floodwaters to facilitate the rescue. After being safely rescued, the dog was given food and later reunited with its owner.
