CBS Plans FBI: CIA Spinoff for 2025

CBS is developing a new spinoff titled FBI: CIA, which will feature a dedicated FBI agent and a street-smart CIA agent working together in a clandestine task force to tackle domestic terrorism in New York City. This new series is part of the expanding FBI franchise created by Dick Wolf, which already includes FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International. A backdoor pilot for FBI: CIA will air as an episode of the FBI series in spring 2025, with a full series slated for the 2025-2026 TV season if CBS approves it. The show is written and produced by Wolf, David Hudgins, Nicole Perlman, and former CIA officer David Chasteen. Casting for the lead roles and a third regular character is currently underway. The potential new series raises questions about how CBS will schedule its 'FBI Tuesdays' lineup, which currently features all three existing series.
