Brian Harman's Son Rescued From Drowning

Professional golfer Brian Harman recounted a harrowing incident where his 6-year-old son, Walter, nearly drowned while vacationing in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, on October 13. Harman was competing in a tournament in China at the time, while his wife and children were at the beach. Walter was caught in a strong rip current while bodyboarding, prompting family friend Cathy Dowdy to attempt a rescue, which left her seriously injured and in a coma for six weeks. Another bystander, Crane Cantrell, successfully saved Walter. Harman has expressed deep gratitude for Dowdy's bravery and has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with her medical expenses, which has raised over $80,000. He emphasized the courage shown by those who risked their lives for his son during a press conference at the RSM Classic in Georgia.
