Aston Villa's Jaden Philogene Joins Ipswich

Aston Villa winger Jaden Philogene is set to undergo a medical at Ipswich Town as he completes a £20 million permanent transfer, ending his brief six-month stint back at Villa Park. Philogene, who previously played for Hull City, had limited opportunities at Villa, making just four starts and 11 substitute appearances. Ipswich's manager Kieran McKenna's influence was pivotal in convincing Philogene to choose the club over other European interests. Villa had exercised a buy-back option worth £18 million earlier this season after Philogene's successful loan at Hull, where he scored 12 goals in 32 Championship matches. The Tractor Boys, currently battling relegation in the Premier League, have also signed defender Ben Godfrey on loan from Atalanta to bolster their squad. Philogene's transfer comes amid Ipswich's efforts to improve their standings, particularly after losing winger Chiedozie Ogbene to injury.
