Several universities have made significant coaching staff changes in their baseball programs. Calvin University has appointed Joel Schipper, a Grand Rapids native and former Hastings College head coach, as their new head baseball coach. Meanwhile, the University of South Florida has welcomed Kevin Bowers, with extensive coaching experience, as their director of recruiting under head coach Mitch Hannahs. South Carolina has seen the addition of Paul Mainieri as head coach and Terry Rooney as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator, with Rooney bringing a wealth of experience from LSU and UCF. Texas A&M has hired Michael Earley, previously their hitting coach, as the new head baseball coach, succeeding Jim Schlossnagle who moved to coach at Texas. Additionally, former MLB pitcher Daniel Schlereth has joined the University of South Florida as their pitching coach after successful coaching stints at Western Michigan and Joliet Slammers.
