Dearborn Superintendent Maleyko Named Michigan State Superintendent

Dr. Glenn Maleyko, superintendent of Dearborn Public Schools, has been selected as Michigan's next state superintendent, succeeding Dr. Michael Rice who is retiring in early October. Maleyko was chosen from a pool of 33 applicants, with the State Board of Education voting 5-3 in his favor. He brings 30 years of education experience and a strong record of success, including leading Dearborn to a 95% graduation rate and earning six Blue Ribbon School honors.
