Illinois Indiana Men Charged Possessing Disseminating Child Pornography

Jason Grabowski, a 45-year-old man from Carpentersville, Illinois, has been charged with multiple counts of possession and dissemination of child pornography for sharing images and videos depicting child sexual abuse via private chats on a social media platform between July 2024 and May 2025. Despite prosecutors' requests for pretrial detention, a judge released Grabowski under conditions prohibiting unsupervised contact with minors and access to internet-capable devices, with his next court date set for October 17, 2025. The investigation was conducted by the Carpentersville Police Department and the Kane County Child Exploitation Unit. Separately, Rogelio Herrera Jr., 22, from Hammond, Indiana, was arrested on felony charges of possessing child pornography after communications with an 11-year-old boy on multiple social media apps were uncovered during investigations originating in California and Indiana. No physical contact occurred in Herrera's case, and the child involved was confirmed safe. Both cases highlight ongoing law enforcement efforts to combat child sexual abuse materials shared via social media platforms.
