Christina Haack: Tarek Helped Remove Josh Hall

Christina Haack says her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa personally called their attorney and HGTV to notify producers that her then-husband Josh Hall would be removed from The Flip Off after Haack and Hall split in July 2024. The series, originally pitched as a couples renovation competition pitting Haack and Hall against Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa, resumed with Haack competing alone against the El Moussas. Haack said producers filmed a staged but emotional scene in which she told Tarek about the breakup that in reality lasted far longer and became a moment of reconciliation and forgiveness. She said the filming environment had become uncomfortable due to Hall’s insecurities, and credited Tarek’s intervention with allowing production to continue and helping her focus on healing. The Flip Off premiered in January and was reported to be HGTV’s highest-rated new series since 2022; Haack has since moved on with boyfriend Chris Larocca.
