Greece Honors Baldock with Historic Win at Wembley

Greece's national football team paid tribute to their former teammate George Baldock, who tragically passed away on October 9, by securing a historic 2-1 victory against England at Wembley. Vangelis Pavlidis, who scored both goals for Greece, dedicated the win to Baldock, emphasizing the team's emotional motivation to honor his memory. Prior to the match, captain Tasos Bakasetas delivered an inspiring speech urging his teammates to 'sacrifice themselves' in honor of Baldock, whom he described as an exemplary team player.
