Man Stabbed to Death in Fresno Home

Fresno police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing on Saturday morning as 46-year-old Gregory De La Cruz. The incident occurred shortly before 7 a.m. at a residence near Fillmore and Jackson avenues, where De La Cruz was found suffering from multiple stab wounds and later pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses reported that he had been awakened by another resident who asked for help after being assaulted. Detectives believe that De La Cruz and the suspect were acquainted, and a person in a dark-colored hoodie was seen fleeing the scene. Authorities are actively seeking additional video footage and have encouraged anyone with information to contact the police. This stabbing marks the 29th homicide in Fresno this year.
