16-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder in Elgin

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old on High Street in Elgin on November 16, 2024. The injured boy was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment and has since been released. The accused is scheduled to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on November 19. Police Scotland confirmed that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal regarding the incident. Additionally, authorities are investigating the death of 33-year-old John Geddes, who may have been struck by a vehicle, after his body was discovered in Lossiemouth. The circumstances surrounding Geddes' death remain under investigation.
