International Solar Festival Celebrates Renewable Energy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the inaugural International Solar Festival, emphasizing India's significant progress in solar energy, which has increased 32-fold in the past decade, aiming for 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030. The festival, organized by the International Solar Alliance, features immersive experiences showcasing solar technology and its benefits, including a virtual reality tour of a solar-powered city and educational exhibits on global solar initiatives. In addition, the festival promotes collaboration among nations, as 19 countries ratified the framework for full membership, reinforcing the vision of 'One World, One Sun'.
