King Charles Hosts Emir of Qatar for State Visit

King Charles III and Queen Camilla will host the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for a state visit on December 3-4, 2024, at Buckingham Palace. This visit follows previous meetings, including a recent encounter at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai. The Emir and his wife will receive a ceremonial welcome and attend a state banquet, while discussions are expected to include Qatar's role as a mediator in the Israel-Hamas conflict. Sheikh Tamim, educated in the UK, is also the founder of Qatar Sports Investments, which owns Paris Saint-Germain.
