Gerald Coetzee has been ruled out of South Africa's two-Test series against the West Indies due to a left side strain sustained while playing for the Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket. Migael Pretorius, who has taken 23 wickets in the County Championship this year, has been named as his replacement, returning to the Test setup after being previously called up in 2020 but not having played.
